The Orchestre des Champs-Elysées is dedicated to the interpretation, with period instruments, of repertoire ranging from Haydn to Debussy. Its creation in 1991 was due to the joint initiative of Alain Durel, director of the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, and Philippe Herreweghe. The evening at the Teatro Grande is proposed as a tribute to Ludwig Van Beethoven, with performances of his Symphony No. 5 and No. 6.
