For this new creation, Alain Platel selected some personalities that already worked with him in other shows, as Steven Prengels, musical director, Hildegard De Vuyst that will be involved in the drama composition and Dorine Demuynck for the costumes. The performance is inspired not only by several compositions of Gustav Mahler, but also by his biography, time and places where he lived. Moreover, there are several references to polyphonic traditions introduced by Congolese singers Boule Mpanya and Russel Tshiebua who worked with Platel for the performance Coup Fatal. A special focus is dedicated to problematic years of Twentyfirst Century that brought to crisis and tragedies of two World Wars.
