Adriano Bolognino/Körper | Come neve

According to legend, the crochet technique originated in a small town where a woman, fascinated by the spectacle of snowflakes falling on her windowsill, tried to reproduce the intricate pattern with a cotton thread and a large curved needle. In his latest work, Adriano Bolognino, among the most interesting names on the young contemporary performance scene, weaves dance into these suggestions in a choreography that transforms and alters bodies. Dancers in entirely crocheted embroidered dresses alternate sinuous twirls with excited movements, creating a texture to be contemplated absorbedly, like
watching a light snowfall from one’s window.
