Giselle

This year, the stage of the Teatro Grande will host the Tbilisi National Ballet, one of the best known European companies, for a double performance of Giselle, a famous masterpiece to the music of Adolphe Adam. Even today, Giselle is one of the world’s best-loved ballets and belongs to the works that have become a symbol of Romanticism: contradictions between dream and reality, lost illusions, nostalgic sadness for an ideal, all converge in the main theme of the story, namely profound and sacrificial love, the all-powerful love that conquers even death.
