La Grande Notte del Jazz 2022

The Great Night of Jazz is back for its fifth edition, the music marathon that traditionally brings some of the most interesting musicians of the Italian and international jazz scene to the stages of the city Massimo.

Saturday 26 March from 19.00 to 23.30 the Teatro Grande will be transformed into the small citadel of jazz with three paths designed to listen to the different interpretations of this vast genre. All the itineraries will open at 7.00 pm in the Sala Grande with a concert by Eleonora Strino, Greg Cohen and Zeno De Rossi.

GROUND is the path that will be divided into the Ridotto of the Teatro Grande where Costanza Alegiani Trio and Fabrizio Sferra will perform with “Folkways” at 9.30 pm and Nazareno Caputo Phylum Trio at 10.45 pm.

AIR it is the path of the Sala Palcoscenico Borsoni where Ilaria Capalbo Quintet will perform with “Karthago” at 9.30 pm and Qaplá at 10.45 pm.

FIRE will take place in the Hall of Scenographies with the performances of ARE Andrea Ruggeri Ensemble “Musiche invisibili” at 9.30 pm and Federico Calcagno & The Dolphians at 10.45 pm.

The routes (full price 30.00 euros; reduced under 30 and over 65 20.00 euros) are on sale from 10 March at the Teatro Grande Box Office, on the website vivaticket.com (opening hours of the Teatro Grande Box Office: from Tuesday to Friday from 13.30 to 19.00 and on Saturday from 15.30 to 19.00).

The concerts will not be sold individually.

The Great Night of Jazz 2022 will also have a corollary appointment that will involve one of the guest artists of this 5th edition for a Lectio Magistralis

which will take place on the morning of Saturday 26 March at 11.00 at the Pietro da Cemmo Hall of the Luca Marenzio Conservatory in Brescia. . The meeting will feature Greg Cohen, a world-famous American double bass player who on this occasion will focus on a theme that is very close to his way of making music: the creative approach between jazz and popular music. A free appointment (with compulsory registration via the website www.teatrogrande.it starting from Thursday 16 March) with a great master of jazz music, certainly of interest for fans of the genre, but not only. The Lectio will be held in English.

The Grande Notte del Jazz is a project of the Fondazione del Teatro Grande in Brescia created with the artistic collaboration of Emanuele Maniscalco and Luigi Radassao.
