Wire broadcasting from Teatro Grande

As Theatres are still closed according to Authorities arrangements, Fondazione del Teatro Grande does not renounce to keep a strong connection with the City. looking forward to welcoming the audience inside the Avenues, it is fundamental ti offer involving initiatives not only on digital platforms, with the aim to be present in the daily life of community, thanks to the extraordinary beauty of music.

After the first event on Memory Day, the wired broadcasting will continue during April. Every Wednesday and Friday, at 11.00 and 17.00, from Teatro’s terrace a special music selection will spread around Corso Zanardelli, to simbolically embrace the entire city.

The programme will include artists connected to our territory, whom Fooundation decided to honor: from Daniela Dessì, with Puccini and Verdi’s ariasa, to Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli concerts, from Giancarlo Facchinetti compositions executed by dèdalo ensemble to the Divine one Callas.

To celebrate important anniversaries Brandenburg Concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed in 1721, and Camille Saint-Saëns notes will resound in Corso Zanardelli. An homage to Brescia as Venetian city will be spread with Vivaldi, Liszt, Gabrieli and Baroque music. In addiction Mozart will be protagonist of the programme with a rich selection of Symphonies and some of the most famous arias from Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni and Così fan tutte in execution conducted by M° Teodor Currentzis. Foundation will dedicate a special focus just to Currentzis: Fragments is another project where some extracts from La Traviata are performed in a very essential way, giving an ethereal and fascinating listening.

To complete the schedule minimalist and contemporary compositions, will be part of the broadcast, with works by Steve reich and Philip Glass, traditionally proposed in Teatro Grande billboard.

The Foundation reserves the right to extend the programme also in following months after the expire of DPCM, if Theatres should remain close.
