Festa dell’Opera 2024

Saturday 8 June sees the return of the great event that has made Brescia the city of Opera since 2012, marking it out as a unicum on a national level.

This year’s Festa dell’Opera, through a rich and articulated programme – which will also be developed on the preview day of Friday 7 June – will transform the city into an open-air theatre, with over 50 events – all free of charge – hundreds of artists and dozens of public and private venues that, in a single day, from dawn to midnight, will be overwhelmed and transformed by the charm of Opera.

The 2024 edition will be dedicated to the celebrations for the centenary of Giacomo Puccini’s death and for the 120th anniversary of Madama Butterfly, which found its first triumphant success in Brescia in 1904. During the day of the Festival and the preview, there will be a series of moments celebrating his most famous and performed operas, alongside more rarely performed compositions and curious stories of his connection with Brescia.
