Sentieri Selvaggi – Extreme Minimalism

Sentieri selvaggi returns to minimalism, an artistic movement that has marked the history of the ensemble, starting from the intuitions of its pioneers: from the “additive process” of Philip Glass to the happenings of Terry Riley and the acoustic illusions of Steve Reich. In their works of the second half of the 60s the musical material is extremely reduced, time becomes a field of experimentation and music a flow of energy. The listener just has to pay attention, down to the smallest details, to an apparently simple musical “gesture” and its unfolding over time.
