As Francis Bacon would say, “Nature is often hidden, sometimes overwhelmed, very rarely extinct”. The compositional writing of this solo by Raffaella Giordano – one of the most sensitive interpreters of contemporary dance – declines by analogy fragments of the natural world: the path is inscribed in the language of the body, otherwise untranslatable, and the ego becomes only the point of origin of vision. The first roots of this work can be traced back to The Summer of the Hill by J. A. Baker, a bizarre and mysterious English writer who tells and describes only nature. His gaze rests on its smallest manifestation, up to the dizzying grandeur that encompasses it.
