Pensieri verticali | Mountains. Adventures, passion, challenges

“There are no own mountains, you know, there are, however, own experiences. Many others can climb mountains, but no one can ever invade the experiences that are and remain ours”. Walter Bonatti

On 4 July next, the Club Alpino Italiano of Brescia will be 150 years old. For this historic milestone, Teatro Grande and CAI present four events, four different ways to explore what the mountains represent today in our culture and imagination, interweaving adventure, sport and the environment.

An invitation for an intimate, personal and profound reflection on the mountain, a place where one can learn to respect one’s limits, but also to overcome them. A place to enjoy the beauty of nature, achieve goals and find one’s own balance. The mountain told as a wise teacher that gives freedom, but demands respect and sacrifice, a bit like life.
