Recognized by the Italian and international press as one of the most interesting conductors of her generation, Speranza Scappucci will direct the historical Venetian formation. In particular, the Ouverture from I vespri siciliani by Giuseppe Verdi and the Symphony n. 3 in E flat major op. 55 Heroic by Ludwig van Beethoven. In the second part of the concert the orchestra will play Il canto del silenzio for viola and strings, composed in 2021 by Simonide Braconi – first viola of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan – and dedicated to the victims of the pandemic. Maestro Braconi will be solo viola of the evening and therefore will perform in first person his own composition.

The Fondazione announces that the Conductor Speranza Scappucci, for health reasons, will not be able to attend the inaugural concert of the Season, scheduled for Friday, February 3, and will be replaced by Maestro Manlio Benzi.
The program remains unchanged.
All those who have bought a ticket for the concert and wish to attend the show can use the ticket already purchased and show up directly in the theater Friday night.
The Fondazione offers, however, the possibility to request a refund of the ticket purchased no later than Tuesday, February 7 at the Box Office of the Teatro Grande or by sending a request within the same terms to biglietteria@teatrogrande.it. For the refund it will be necessary to present the ticket already purchased and not used.
