Opera domani | La Cenerentola. Grand Hotel dei sogni

Daniele Menghini – winner of the directing competition promoted as part of the Opera Education project – will bring one of the most famous and loved fairy tales to the Teatro Grande. In the Rossini version of La Cenerentola, surprisingly, we are not faced with a real fairy tale, since the composer and his librettist Ferretti purify the story of all magical elements: there no mice that turn into coachmen, no pumpkin that turns into a carriage, there is no fairy godmother and there is not even a crystal slipper. Our story comes to life in a Grand Hotel: a melting pot of different cultures and social classes, a dimension that makes exchange and encounter a wealth, a special place where an illustrious guest like a prince can meet and fall in love with a waitress, recognizing the true beauty hiding behind a dirty apron.
