On the 16th December at 8PM, and on the 18th December at 3.30PM, one of the masterpieces by Giuseppe Verdi will be closing the Season: La Traviata. Narrating the story of her who’s seduced, abandoned and then tormented, iconic model of the woman abused by social conventions, a young point of view: together with the Theaters of the Opera Lombardia, the Fondazione del Teatro Grande launched an international under35 competition of direction dedicated to this famous opera; the competition signs the spirit of talent scouting of the Circuito, a mission to which all the Theatres are committed to give the possibility to young artists to reveal their professionality and creativity in putting on stage one one of the most beloved titles of the repertoire. The project will be created in collaboration with the Fondazione Rete Lirica delle Marche and Opera Europa. The competition, addressed to a European under35 team, has seen the participation of 50 projects, among which the jury has chosen the project by the TEAM DUPHOL’s, composed by Luca Baracchini (direction), Francesca Sgariboldi (scenes), Donato Didonna (costumes) e Gianni Bertoli (light design). The show will be a new production co-produced by the Theatres of Opera Lombardia, Fondazione Rete Lirica delle Marche. The artistic cast is still to be defined. Singers, Coro Opera Lombardia and the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali of Milan will be coordinated by the Maestro Enrico Lombardi.
