On 5th and 6th December the Opera and Ballet season will also include the traditional classic ballet appointment, which will be La Sylphide, one of the most famous Romantic works. The ballet will be played by Tirana’s Opera Ballet, which nowdays has experience in great works of classic and contemporary repertory. La Sylphide will be presented for the first time on Teatro Grande stage.
From Tirana’s Opera Ballet many talented soloists came out and came to light on international stages. La Sylphide is a two acts ballet played on musics by Herman Løvenskiold and libretto by Adolphe Nourrit. The choreography is been re-elaborated by Ilir Kerni on Augusto Bournonville’s traditional version. La Sylphide revolutionized ballet history: for the first time a dancer wears pointe shoes looking for elegance and innatural beauty wich perfectly suits the character. The ballet symbolizes a lyric vision of supernatural world, simultaneously with the reality in wich human beings are untouchable as a dream.
