The Opera 2020 program includes three piano recital, two of which are homages to Opera Season re-scheduled in 2021. Fanciulla del West by Giacomo Puccini is an opera masterpiece rarely executed. In 2020 110 anniversary from first representation at Metropolitan on December 1910 is celebrated. The production will be on stage at Teatro Grande in 2021 but main interpreters will present a concert with the most significant extracts from the opera. Rebeka Lokar, Angelo Villari, Devid Cecconi will be accompanied on the piano by the orchestra conductor M° Valerio Galli.
The streaming programme of OperaLombardia inlcudes a new title. The recital La Fanciulla del West by Giacomo Puccini will be on-line at www.operalombardialive.it on Wednesday 25th November at 20.30. A selection of aria will be executed by Rebeka Lokar (soprano, aa Minnie), Angelo Villari (tenor, as Dick Johnson, alias Ramerrez), Devid Cecconi (baritone, as Jack Rance, sheriff), accompanied by Maestro Valerio Galli, expert connoiseur of Puccini’s repertoire that will play the piano on this special occasion.
Live streaming will be broadcast from Teatro Fraschini in Pavia on 25th November and it will be available until Friday 27th November at 24.00.
