The last title, on the bill on 10th and 12th December, will be the famous Verdiìs opera Il Trovatore, whose last performance in Brescia is dated 2006. The cycle of Verdi’s great masterpieces continues, which saw the mass in 2016 scene of Traviata, Rigoletto in 2017, Falstaff in 2018 and Macbeth and Aida in 2019. One of Verdi’s most poignant melodramas, Il Trovatore tells about a world of power and passion, love, jealousy, revenge, hatred and lust. In the 2021 Season the opera will be presented in the staging taken from the production of the Concerts “Marialisa De Carolis” of Sassari last December, staging that is directed by Roberto Catalano, a young director from Palermo who made his debut in the opera at the Teatro Sociale di Bergamo in 2007 with the diptych Pigmalione by Donizetti and Che originali! by Mayr and directed Falstaff for the OperaLombardia Circuit in 2018. Scenes by Emanuele Sinisi, costumes by Ilaria Ariemme and lights by Fiammetta Baldiserri. The conducting will be entrusted to the baton of the young conductor Jacopo Brusa. On the poster we find a cast of young but established voices: in the role of Conte di Luna Leon Kim, Marigona Qerkezi in the role of Leonora, Alessandra Volpe in Azucena, Matteo Falcier will play Manrico, Alexey Birkus will be Ferrando, Sabrina Sanza will be Ines, Roberto Covatta Ruiz . Riccardo Dernini (vecchio zingaro) and Davide Capitanio (Messo) complete the cast.

There are no season tsubscriptions for Opera appointments, but only tickets for individual appointments.

Tickets for sale at the Ticket Office of Teatro Grande and online from 10th September.
Ticket office is open from Tuesday to Friday (13.30-19.00) and on Saturday (15.30-19.00). For information biglietteria@teatrogrande.it.
