Il Grande in Provincia – Ome

The music festival Il Grande in Provincia returns in summer 2022 with a rich program of concerts that bring the excellence of the Teatro Grande in some of the most evocative places of the province of Brescia.

Wednesday, June 29, at 9PM, the project will move to Ome at the charming Borgo del Maglio. The protaginists of the concert will be the voices of Erika Tanaka, soprano, and Antonio Mandrillo, tenor, singing a selection of arias from operas by Rossini, Donizetti, Massenet, Verdi, Puccini, Gounod, Leoncavallo and Mozart. The piano accompaniment will be entrusted to Maestro Michelangelo Rossi.

Composed of a group of rural buildings, the Borgo del Maglio is part of the Valle Trompia Museum System and houses the Museo Il Maglio Averoldi – forge of the fifteenth century, characterized by a working water wheel – and the Pietro Malossi Casa Museo that houses a large private collection of the Malossi family. The immense surrounding park, already a natural stage of several music festivals, will host for the first time a concert dedicated to the most famous Opera arias.

In case of bad weather the concert will take place at the Cinema Santo Stefano (Piazza Aldo Moro).
