Fulvio Luciani and Massimiliano Motterle

Music of the sea and water

Between music and water seems to be a natural correspondence. Schubert wrote about it, he who never saw the sea. And both Schuber’s Auf dem Wasser zu singen and Brahms’ Regensonate have the same hypnotic figure: two repeated notes that lay down a supple bed under the score, as if that one was the “water figure”, its translation in music.
In this concert, Fulvio Luciani and Massimiliano Motterle, sensitive Italian musicians, begin a three-year collaboration with the Teatro Grande, dedicated to the theme of journeys, meetings.
