Aspettando la Stagione d’Opera is the presentation by Teatro Grande that anticipates and outlines the themes of the Opera 2018 playbill, traditionally organized in the autumn months, from October to December.
On the centenary of the birth of Leonard Bernstein, the BSMT Singers – a vocal group selected from amongst the students of the Bernstein School of Musical Theatre, Academy of Musicals based in Bologna – offer a program of arias and choral numbers selected from the most popular Musicals Leonard Bernstein has penned and some of the most well-known and beloved melodies of what is unanimously considered today the genre closet to opera in the classical sense.
The May 10 recital is offered free to the city to celebrate the occasion of the European Opera Days 2018.
