Teatro Grande Foundation announces a new concert of international music. On 24th May 2016, h 21, the Teatro Grande Foyer will host the American singer and musician Joan as Police Woman.
Joan Wasser is the real name of singer and author of pop, rock and jazz pieces who can count many collaborations with famous artists as Lou Reed, David Sylvian, Sheryl Crow, Dave Gahan, Elton John, Scissor Sisters, Rufus Wainwright and the Italian band Afterhours. Since she was young Joan Wasser learnt to play the violin and during 90s she had been working with The Dambuilders also playing guitar and keyboards. Since 2002 she had been leading her own project whose name was inspired by an accidental similarity to the main character of a 70s tv series (Angie Dickinson, actress of Police Woman). In 2004 her first work promoted in a supporting tour to Rufus Wainwright. In her last collection edited in 2014 is named The Classic her voice is accompanied by a suggestive combination of electric guitar and piano “winking” at blues sounds.
During the concerto of 24th May Joan as Police Woman will play in a solo exhibiting her new album, which she is working on at now, proposing pieces that brought her to success and new compositions. For her fans one of the five occasions to meet Joan in Italy.
Tickets for 24th May concert are avaialable from 9th march on websites teatrogrande.it and vivaticket.it and in every office of Ubi Banco di Brescia. Moreover tickets are available as always at Teatro Grande ticket office during these days: from Tuesday to Fridat from 13.30 to 19.00; Saturday from 15.30 to 19.00. On the day of the event the Box office will be open till the beginning of the concert.
